The venue for all of our courses is WildHeart Center in Wallkill, NY.  WildHeart is located on 46+ beautiful acres in the Hudson Valley.  Daily events will take place in the studio, shared common spaces, and outdoors. Students are welcome to enjoy the lawns, walk in the forest, and swim and boat in the lake during their stay!

Lodging:

There are two main possibilities for lodging:

Staying at WildHeart: WildHeart has rooms available for students, as well as the option of joining a meal plan. WildHeart lodging options include single rooms, double rooms, dorm housing, or camping - all options have access to shared kitchens and  bathrooms. The meal plan includes access to food supplies for breakfast and lunch, and a prepared evening meal. Participating in the meal plan costs an additional fee as well as a time commitment to help out in the kitchen with meal prep and cleaning.

Staying nearby: There are a number of options for airbnb-type housing nearby (10-15 minutes drive). These websites are a great starting place for finding something: airbnb or Vrbo. If you stay off-site, you can manage your own food, or sign up for some meals at WildHeart.)

Travel planning:

Please take into account the travel time needed to travel between area airports and WildHeart. We will create a document for people to share their travel plans so we can coordinate travel to and from airports and train stations.

ARRIVING:

If you are staying at WildHeart, please plan to arrive by 5pm the day before the course begins for an orientation tour.

Everyone is invited to a welcome dinner at WildHeart the night before the course begins; gathering and greeting time at 6pm, dinner at 7pm. 

If you do not come the night before to WildHeart and it’s your first time, please arrive on the first day at 8am to get oriented to the space.

DEPARTING:

Class ends at 5pm on the final day. Please make sure you don't book a flight home that requires you to miss the last day!

Registration & payment for all SME and IDME courses are handled through Sonder. 

Registration & payment for housing & meals at WildHeart are handled through WildHeart.
