What does the homework look like?

The homework is only required if you want to receive certification as a Somatic Movement Educator or as an Infant Developmental Movement Educator.

For the SME certification, homework includes doing individual sessions with a BMC Practitioner or Teacher, offering material to friends and colleagues in different formats and developing (or continuing) a movement and meditation practice.

For the IDME certification, there’s also a number of baby observation and play sessions in addition to the SME sessions.
For both certifications there’s a final educational project where you share your understanding of BMC® and articulate how you might want to bring the material out into the world.

Can I register for individual modules?

Yes, or for individual courses in a module.  You can do the whole program with us at Sonder, or drop into any course that interests you. You can also start a program with us and finish with another SME program anywhere in the world, or vice versa. 

Are there payment plans available?

Yes. We also offer ‘early bird’ discounts course by course.  Payment plans can be set up as long as the course is paid if full by the start of the course.

What if I have to cancel?

If you must cancel your registration, if done 2 months before the course, you will receive a refund or credit towards another course, minus a $70 processing fee.
If canceling less than 2 months before, there is no refund or credit, unless we can fill your spot.  If we can fill your spot, a refund or credit can be applied to another course less a $70 processing fee.

Once all modules and homework assignments are complete you will be certified by the School for Body-Mind Centering® as a Somatic Movement Educator or an Infant Developmental Movement Educator and will be eligible to be registered with ISMETA.
